I think for day time one should try to go for a fresh makeup look, nothing too dramatic. For day you can use a more neutral toned palette. If you are warm toned earth tones would look great on you and if you are cool tones pinks and those in the cooler family will do the trick. The key is keeping it light. Don't forget to put on a pop of blush that looks natural.

Apply the neutral shadow over the lid.
Highlight color
Use a longer brush and apply the crease or contour color. This is to be applied in the socket of the eye between the lid and the brow brown.
Contour Color Application
To finish the look line the top lid with a medium to brown eyeliner.
Lining the lid
Remember to put some blush on it really helps to get your glow on!
