Layering Your Mascara !

Summer is here and even though we have to deal with rising temperatures remember we are still faced with the occasional unexpected torrential downpour. This brings up the important issue of waterproofing our makeup, especially our lashes. I highly recommend wearing waterproof mascara, this is a backup incase of unexpected weather.


 I know there are some formulas that can leave your lashes feeling dry and brittle. You may have a great mascara that does the trick best but itsn't  water proof. Not to worry you can try layering your mascara. First, you start out by applying the non waterproof mascara to the level of intnsity to which you are accustomed and then you seal it in with the waterproof product of your choice. Lately I have been trying NYC's latest mascara (not waterproof) which was one of Instyle magazine's pick of blackest mascaras'. Check it here.

NYC's product is very black, the more intensity the better. Just remember to layer on a coat of your water proof formula and you can have the best of both worlds! Tweet
