Contouring Guide

Here is a visual break down of the different places where contouring is applied to achieve that defined look.
Row 1
The model uses her foundation brush on the top half of cheek to create a highlight. Secondly she uses her contouring brush in the cheek bone to apply a darker shade to create the illusion of a trimmer more defined face/

Row 2
Model then applies contouring at the temple which will make the cheek area more prominent. She then proceeds to apply the makeup around the hairline. This is done to draw attention to the center of the face.

Row 3
Contouring is applied at the jawline, to create a more defined jaw. This helps to trim the area visually. If you have double chin this will work wonders. A beauty blender is  then used to soften the lines of the contour so it doesn't appear harsh. Blending is important to making the contour look as natural as possible.

At the end, you have the final product of a beautiful contoured face.
