Instyle Magazine, which is one of my favorite beauty references, had compiled a list of the most universal flattering makeup for any complexion. Instyle says, the secret is that the shades possess neutral undertones and creamy textures for easy blending. For eyes which we will look at today, the colors are purple and gold.

 Be mindful not all eye shadows are on the same playing field as some contain a higher quality pigment and will produce better results. InStyle says that applying gold on the inner corners brightens all eyes, while purple's broad appeal is that,  it's not too cool or warm. From my experience, with applying these colors on a variety of skin tones I do agree that it does work on most people's complexion. Let's do an experiment try it out get your purples out and gold and see if it works for you.
Let me know if purple and gold take the cake.
