Matching lips and tips!
Coordinating your lips and nails is all the rage this season, but don't think this trend is something new as most trends are just revamps from the past. You can choose to wear your orange lips with yellow nails or your red lips coordinated with your red nails which is so hot at the moment. If you want to see the inspiration from which designers draw from to set the tone of fashion and makeup check out this blast from the past which depicts the trends that are happening now.

Honestly I had to take a second look just to make sure that I was seeing correctly. For only two bucks you will become the owner of the metal applicator with its instruction manual which details step by step of getting the perfect lip. Here's a quick run down of the steps.
- Completely cover the inside surface of the metal applicator with your lipstick
- Smooth out the lipstick evenly.
- lips should be dried and powdered. Part lips and draw them back on as you would when applying your lipstick.
- Start by pressing your lips into the applicator. Remember the cupids bow can be redrawn for more definition after the application.
- As you press in your lips it allows the lipstick to become more worn on the lips.
- Ta daaa you have glamorous lips.
Hope you enjoyed something out of the ordinary. I wonder what will they think of next.

Ginnifer Goodwin - Style Star!
Edgy!
The other day while watching the "Regis and Kelly Show" they had Ginnifer Goodwin as a guest and I fell in love with her whole look and wanted to share it with you.
I absolutely adore Ginnifer Goodwin's total look from her pixie cut which can easily be edgy or more refined on any given day. In this look Ginnifer keeps it fresh using pink tones which work wonderful for her porcelain skin. She keeps it current with liner which draws attention to her eyes, paying careful attention to accentuate her bottom lashes while keeping her lower lash line liner free. A great fresh tip is to use brown liner or shadow on the bottom for a more open eye look.

Keeping it Green !
I
It's always great to have the knowledge of how to inject a bit of "green" into our routine. So if you are int he mood and want to know how to "keep it green" here are some great tips to get you going.Baking soda: Mix a pinch into your face wash or soap and scrub away. It's quite gentle and leaves my skin feeling great.
Coconut oil: Keep a container of this wonderful oil in the shower, rubbing it into your damp skin, it is like a tropical vacation, it reminds me of country Jamaica!
Essential oils: Instead of using synthetic fragrances, try using a dab of lavender oil on pulse points on your wrists. So yummy!
Sugar + olive oil: Mix together equal parts sugar and olive oil for a natural body scrub.
Tea tree oil:For a breakout and blemish just dab some tea tree oil on a cotton ball with witch hazel and zap those breakouts.
Vinegar: Use a tablespoon of vinegar to your hair then rinse it to cut through any residue and it will leave it shiny and healthy.
Have fun keeping it green today!

Naked Makeup!
If you are loving the nude look this fall, may I recommend a great palette from Urban Decay called "Naked". It is all about keeping the eyes neutral, your blush powder which mimics your natural undertone when your are blushing. For your pout, you can take a cue from the natural color on your lips to find the right lipstick or gloss to give you a finished look. Let's not forget to groom our brows, for a nude look it is ok to have well defined standout brows as they frame the face.
Naked by Urban Decay
This great palette by Urban Decay got great reviews, you get ten shades ranging from matte to shimmery shades. You can choose to go extremely neutral or play up your undertones by using warmer shades with a hint of shimmer for a pop. Have fun using this naked makeup!

Vintage - Jean Harlow!
Is it just me or don't you agree that the women back in the day were just so glamorous from their well defined spiral curls down to their perfectly lined lips. I thought we could take a look at Jean Harlow's beaut regimen to see if we could learn a thing or two to enhance our makeup game.
This is just a breakdown of Jean Harlow's beauty regimen. Enjoy!!
- For her brows Jean used a finely pointed eye brow pencil. If you noticed she sported a high brow which at the time was felt enlarged the eye.
- When it came to lips Jean used a red cream rouge blended seamlessly carrying the color well inside the lip to prevent a break in tone.As we can see it is all in the details.
- Powder is used all the way down to the neck - I guess this is to ensure that there is no break in tone. Also special attention was paid to the nose.
- Hair - she sets her hair with water and vinegar. Vinegar is known to give your hair an extra lift in the shine department.
I hope you learned a thing or two from Jean Harlow. It all comes down to blending and continuing the illusion of the makeup which helps it to look flawless.

Out of the Ordinary Beauty!
Some of the greatest inventions are those that are outside of the box. The same goes when it comes to beauty as there are many out of the ordinary things we can do to enhance our makeup experience. So if you love the idea of stepping outside of the norm take a peek at some of these out of the ordinary beauty solutions that I am sure will work for you.
Wild unruly brows - Discipline them with eye cream.
Use your eye cream and pat them into to your brows which keeps the tame and hydrated. It aslo helps to banish those icky white specks which escalate with cooler weather.
Stubborn Lipstick - Makeup remover to the rescue.
If you're experiencing difficulty removing the remnants of your lipstick just dap a cotton ball or q tip in some makeup remover and your lips will thank you.
Mushy Eyeliner - Freeze it!
If your eyeliner starts to crumble as you are lining a quick fix is to put your eyeliner in the freezer to get it liner worthy.
Splotchy Face - Get some tea bag.
If your skin is sensitive or just looking irritated and puffy for some reason, steep a bag of green tea for a minute or two, let it cool down, and dab it over your face. The antioxidants in the tea take down inflammation.
More out of the ordinary tips coming up!
