Behind "The Heart of Summer".
This movie slated to be released later this year marks the directorial debut of Adrian Allen. It was a pleasure working with the cast and crew, we pulled long hours just to get it completed. Check out behind the scenes...
In this picture we have the Director, Adrian Allen (long sleeved shirt) with DP (Director of Photography) Philip Friesenbilcher. They are more than likely discussing the shot list while, the DP is setting the frame for the shot. Setting up a shot ,entails ensuring that the proper lighting is in place to capture the desired image . By doing so they have to take into consideration the angle and the type of lens they sill use to capture the scene. For each scene, there is a shot list which guides the DP, normally you have a wide angle shot and close ups taken from each characters perspective. It takes quite a bit of preparation and knowledge about lighting to capture the right feel for the audience.
The crew is setting up a Dolly ( similar to a ladder). This helps with moving shots and prevents the camera from jerking (no bad cinematography here).
That was late in the night and we were prepping for the club scene..
Love interests in the movie... I know you can't wait to see who else is in it..
The one and only Paul Campbell who takes on a different role... It is definitely a must see movie.
Look out for The Heart of Summer .. It is coming.
