A great way to freshen up your look is sometimes to skip the heavy foundation and choose a tinted moisturizer. These moisturizers contain color which along with moisturizing the skin they give you some coverage. This is a great option if you are just running an errand and you just want a hint of coverage.

The Do's of Dark and Pretty Lips

DO pair gently stained lips with lots of mascara
makeup pro Melanie Inglessis says, “Apply lipstick with your ring finger for a less intense shade—the trick is to keep it from looking too perfect!”

DO go super dark on deeper skin tones, check out Queen Latifah's shiney coco bean shade.


The shade of lipstick that you choose can make or break your look. If you have a cool complexion, choose dark colors with blue and purple undertones, like berry or bordeaux.

For a warm skin tone, look for coral and gold undertones, like brick and golden red.


Not Sure 
If you are a warm or a cool? Take a look at the veins of your inner wrist. If they look green you have a warm skin tone; blue veins mean you’re a cool.

We can rest easy because bright colors are on for Spring 2012, it seems that the fashion world is in love with color period. I am not complaining! Taking a peek backstage at Luli Fama Swim wear designer at the MBFW Swim 2012 we see the models rocking green and pink eyeshadow. We can't get more colorful than that.

As the new face of Cover Girl, Taylor Swift is known for her signature smokey eyes. we have to give it to her,this girl knows how to wear a mean smokey. Taylor revealed to Ok Magazine her trick in creating her winged liner.


“Creating the angle at the edge of the upper lid of a cat eye is difficult,” says Taylor. “My trick is to trace your bottom lid with one finger and continue up and out. That imaginary line is the perfect angle for that ‘flick’ of liner.”

Extractor Tips!

We have all been told that if we can avoid picking our " pimplette" as I call them we can avoid major scarring in the long run. Many times I have failed to follow this advice, it's like something takes over and I just want to touch it. Do you ever get that feeling? Well for those of us that simply can't resist touching them here are some tips for using an extractor safely to get those unruly girls out.


Tip 1  
Disinfect the extractor with some rubbing alcohol and wash your face and hands before proceeding with any extractions.


Tip2 
It's best to do extractions after you've washed or steamed your face (be careful not to get too close to the steam or you'll risk broken capillaries) so the gunk inside is softened and more ready to be squeezed out.

Rocking Magenta For Fall!

The bold lip color which made its mark for Spring will be around for Fall. Even though Spring saw bright lips, for Fall we will be rocking those same colors but on a deeper note. Deeper shades of your brights will work for the cool months that follow.

Here are some tips to make the transition into fall that much easier.

• Opt for lip colors that are mostly matter (gloss is for Summer).
• Choose a shade or 2 darker than you would choose for Summer.
• Achieving the perfect fuchsia lip is in the application
• Apply one layer of lip color, then blot  with tissue or oil blotting sheets
• Apply another coat of lip color for a super saturated lip

So keep these tips in mind as the leaves get ready to Fall!
