Bobbi Brown dishes  her  no fail tricks to looking line you- only, much better. Bobbi Brown known for her natural approach to makeup which I love gave Instyle Magazine tips we can all use to looking better. Check out her big four.

Tip 1- Start with a Basic lotion

Burt's Bees Radiance day Creme.

Bobbi Brown suggests that it is best to create a smooth luminous base for makeup by using a light weight moisturizing formula rather than a souped up cream.Bobbi says "A non greasy lotion instantly plumps and evens out your skin". She suggests that a lot of moisturizers with active ingredients don't hydrate enough and says  we should save the active packed formulas for nighttime.


Tip 2 Layer Cheek Color

Bobbi Brown says for a rosy flush that won't fade, dab cream blush on top of powder blush. Brown says it might sounds sounds counter intuitive "but it really works" she says. (I will be trying this one out ASAP!)
"A cream  blush  by itself doesn't stay long , and it tends to look either too bright or too pale." Powder underneath  adds extra dimension  and actually anchors the cream in place.

Beauty Project!

I decided for my weekend project that I was going to transform one of my favorite powder blushes into a cream based blush. Check out how I turned my Sunlit Copper blush into cream.


Iman Sunlit Copper powder blush ( broken up)

Oil of Olay Moisturizer ( The agent of Change)

 I started with a small amount of moisturizer.

 Mix until you like the consistiency. Creamy, not runny.

Whip up Your Blush!

I know it looks tempting but we're not going to eat we are going to whip up our very own cream blush. Let's get started.

• Take an eye shadow you love or a powder blush along with your moisturizer.
•  First pour or scrape  the shadow into then start  adding in small quantities your       moisturizer mixing it in  till you get the consistency you desire.
• A great mixing tool can either be a toothpick or even a hair pin.
•  For a touch of sheen you can add a bit of shimmer to the mixture.

There you have it easy as pie. So get whipping today!
