R U Ready For Fall?

Can you believe that Fall is walking up the driveway and almost at our door steps? You know what that means, we have to get ready, lipstick.. check... shadow.... If you are not ready and not too sure what is in for Fall let's do a quick rundown.

Bold lips (Reds and Berries)

You can either do a full lip of blasting bold color or if you are like me you can do a tint of the color on your lips. Just use your fingers and dab it on your lips.For longevity blot your lips and reapply in a dabbing motion.

Whip up Your Blush!

I know it looks tempting but we're not going to eat we are going to whip up our very own cream blush. Let's get started.

• Take an eye shadow you love or a powder blush along with your moisturizer.
•  First pour or scrape  the shadow into then start  adding in small quantities your       moisturizer mixing it in  till you get the consistency you desire.
• A great mixing tool can either be a toothpick or even a hair pin.
•  For a touch of sheen you can add a bit of shimmer to the mixture.

There you have it easy as pie. So get whipping today!

Too Much of a GOOD Thing!

Blush mistakes to avoid:

1. Please don't apply your blush too close to or on the lines near the eyes. By doing this you make the lines more noticeable. If you use certain colors such as pink or coral shades to close the eye area, it will give the eye an irritated look.
2. Don't apply blush near the mouth or close to your laugh lines. This will accentuate them.
3. Don't apply blush to your nose, forehead or hairline or chin. It can make the face overly pink or red. I recommend for those areas of the face it is best to use a bronzer. Even though this technique is used in print and it looks great in pictures, it can come off looking blotchy in daylight.
4. After blush application always blend properly, especially the edges for a more softened look. You should not see where the blush starts or stops.

For the most part, your blush and lipstick does not have to exactly m but they should really kept in the same family of colors so the makeup flows and looks cohesive. According to The Complete Beauty Bible , you can choose to go with a neutral color for your blush, a soft golden brown a sort of tan color goes with most skin tones.

Youthful makeup Tips!

We all can get that youthful look if we utilize certain techniques and play around with the versatility of makeup. Makeup can either make us look older or younger depending on how we apply it.
In order to look younger we have to ensure that we get the basics out of the way such as great skin care. Cleansing, exfoliating and moisturizing which is important to having a fresh youthful face.
To get a fresh youthful look, always bear in mind that less is more. Apply concealer and foundation where you need it most, blending it seamlessly into the skin. The less foundation used the better as the more skin that is seen the face appears fresher. Be light handed with the powder , only applying it on areas you need it most for example the T zone as a dewier complexion looks more youthful than a matte face.
 To make the eyes appear brighter and wider apply white or nude liner on the lower lash line, don't forget to apply your mascara to make your eyes pop.
For your brows,fill them in with hair like strokes, be careful not to over do it. If you decide against using brow powder, try running a brow gel or clear mascara through your brows to give them a well placed look.
Next comes the blush, color in the cheeks always lends itself to a youthful appearance. Apply your favorite blush at the apple of your cheeks, for that rosy flushed look. To top it off apply a colored gloss for a softer look on the lips

What Shape R U?

It is to our advantage to be knowledgeable about our facial features, especially to know what shape face we have. It will clue us in as to what we want to accentuate on our face and what we desire to de-emphasize. Like selecting a pair of sunglasses, each frame is designed with a particular shape in mind in the same way we apply makeup based off shape. That being said let's take a look at some shapes and how to use our blush to accentuate our face.

Round

If you have determined that you have a round face, for blush application it is best to apply it at a 45 degree angle or in layman's terms follow your cheek bone. This will help to give the face definition.


Square

Having a square shaped face means that you have a very strong jawline. To soften your jawline put the blush on in a circular motion focusing on the apples of your cheeks.

It can double as an eye liner, you only have get your liner brush damp, dip then apply.It can also be used as a brow powder (matte is best). Also you can use it to color your lips. Extremely versatile.

Another great way to be versatile is to use your blush to give your lips some color. There are now many products on the market that are marketed to be used on lips, eyes and cheeks. However if you need a little dab of color just dot some on your lips and you can add a bit of gloss if you so desire.

Pregnancy is a time when the most wonderful miracle is taking place, the growth of your baby. Even though it is a special time, it can be some of the most challenging times for women due to hormonal changes. It takes more effort to get ready  if we have places to go. Many of us skip the makeup routine because we just feel blah.

They are of excellent quality and high pigmentation. For La Femme Blush powder which I use for a natural glow for around $4.95 it is a great deal if you can overlook the packaging. Sometimes great things come in unexpected things. This blush is very diverse and can be used on a wide cross section of skin tones.

Yaby's cream shadows albeit, very pricey $155.00, this product I would recommend for a makeup artist kit, is excellent waterproof makeup that gives outstanding results.
