Foundation overhaul with changing Weather!

As we head into the cooler months you might  notice that your skin color has lightened due to the change in climate. This will signal to you that maybe you might have to go a shade or so lighter with your foundation to keep it looking natural . To know if you are due for a change pay special attention when applying your foundation if there is a distinct difference between your face and your neck. 
Do a daylight check with your mirror out doors to see what your face looks like in natural light. If it looks like you are wearing a mask then you need to go lighter.
Even though you might have to adjust your foundation, the darker foundation you used in the Summer will still be of use as you can use it to contour your cheeks, nose, temple and jawline by applying it in those areas,so it will not go to waste.

A Peek in=to Fall

Even though we are into the heights of Summer it doesn't for us to get a bit prepared for Fall trends. Check out the looks for fall from Chloe' and Donna Karan for 2011.

We see the continuation of the flawless finish foundation (Donna Karan 2011) and the chocolate smokey eyes from Chloe'. The softness of the smokey eyes is enhanced with a dark black or deep brown liner which is smoked out with browns. Get your warm earth tones ready as browns will be ruling this fall along with a flawless fresh face. Tweet

Testing on your jaw to see if a foundation matches your skin is the most accurate way to know if the color suits you. Another handy tip if you know you are going foundation shopping is to walk with a mirror so you can first check the makeup in natural light before making a purchase. The lighting in department stores can be very deceptive, everything always looks good. Some foundations also change color as soon as it makes contact due to the pH balance composition within your skin. So if if you feel like,shop around and wait awhile and then check the foundation in natural light to see if you have the perfect match.
